One of the greatest joys of living in Hawaii is being at the center of a unique musical culture. Hawaiian music is a blend of traditions—Pacific Island chant, dance rhythms and language, combined with Western harmony, instruments, and forms. The evolution of Hawaiian music over the centuries has produced a wide variety of styles, a few of which are reflected in this collection.
